Difficulty Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pasta (penne or your choice)

  • 1 tsp oil (for boiling pasta)

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (for sautéing)

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1/2 cup chopped capsicum (green bell pepper)

  • 1/4 tsp garam masala

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup

  • 1 tsp soya sauce

  • 1 tsp chilli sauce

  • 1 tsp Schezwan sauce (optional, for extra heat)

  • 1/2 tsp oregano

  • A pinch of chaat masala (for a zesty kick)

Directions

  1. Boil the Pasta:
In a pot, boil pasta with a little oil and salt until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the Sauce:
Heat oil in a pan. Sauté chopped onion and capsicum for 2–3 minutes until slightly soft but still crisp.

  3. Spice It Up:
Add garam masala, red chilli powder, chilli flakes, and salt. Stir well for a few seconds until fragrant.

  4. Add the Sauces:
Mix in tomato ketchup, soya sauce, chilli sauce, and Schezwan sauce (if using). Let the mixture bubble for 1 minute.

  5. Toss the Pasta:
Add the boiled pasta to the pan and toss until every piece is coated in that spicy, tangy sauce.

  6. Finish & Serve:
Sprinkle oregano and chaat masala on top for a final burst of flavor. Serve hot!

💡 Tips:

  • Add sweet corn, baby spinach, or mushrooms for extra texture.

  • Want it cheesy? Top with shredded mozzarella before serving.
