5-Minute Spicy Veggie Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup pasta (penne or your choice)

1 tsp oil (for boiling pasta)

Salt to taste

1 tbsp cooking oil (for sautéing)

1 small onion, chopped

1/2 cup chopped capsicum (green bell pepper)

1/4 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp red chilli flakes

1 tbsp tomato ketchup

1 tsp soya sauce
-
1 tsp chilli sauce
-
1 tsp Schezwan sauce (optional, for extra heat)

1/2 tsp oregano

A pinch of chaat masala (for a zesty kick)
Directions

Boil the Pasta:
In a pot, boil pasta with a little oil and salt until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside. -
Prepare the Sauce:
Heat oil in a pan. Sauté chopped onion and capsicum for 2–3 minutes until slightly soft but still crisp. -
Spice It Up:
Add garam masala, red chilli powder, chilli flakes, and salt. Stir well for a few seconds until fragrant. -
Add the Sauces:
Mix in tomato ketchup, soya sauce, chilli sauce, and Schezwan sauce (if using). Let the mixture bubble for 1 minute. -
Toss the Pasta:
Add the boiled pasta to the pan and toss until every piece is coated in that spicy, tangy sauce. -
Finish & Serve:
Sprinkle oregano and chaat masala on top for a final burst of flavor. Serve hot!
